Keeping up with the big guys
February's Learning Technologies exhibition and conference is Europe's leading showcase of the type of work we do here at Ashford. The biggest names in workplace learning were in London exhibiting their wares and giving lectures.
We were there, mainly to see what's on trend now and what's forecast for the future in the world of workplace learning. We were particularly interested to compare our offer with what others – including the ‘big guys’ – are up to.
So how did we measure up? Read our LT20UK report in the Ashford Blog.

There's no place for gobbledegook in training
We've always been proud to say our written work uses plain language that's easy to understand. But not everyone feels the same, and more and more incomprehensible jargon is creeping into the language of learning and development.
So, at the risk of negatively catalysing your cognitive load, our Senior Editor Chris Burns decided to share a few of the messages she received in just three days from learning developers and training companies.
Warning: contains grammar-based ranting.

What's happening
This month, we've been busy extending our Ask Ashford series of mobile learning aids. As well as regularly updating Coronavirus, we have published the following titles:
- Hand washing
- Food Allergens
- What Fire Extinguisher?
And there are plenty more titles in the pipeline!
Each one contains information in small chunks and a timed 'challenge' or game to check knowledge. They're an ideal reference and checking tool, and work on mobile devices or PCs. Email us now for more information.
